Khorfakkan.

That is not me calling you a name. Along the coast of the Gulf of Oman, that is where I was born. I was raised in Dubai eating falafels that would put Halal Guys to shame. It was pretty cool to witness the city growing at the same rate as I did.

Doctors.

Both my parents are doctors. My only sibling is in med school. Growing up, I wanted to be a doctor too. But then I became an engineer. There are only a few ways to make your parents proud when you are Indian.

Armpits.

For a brief period, I lived in Bombay. It was during high school. It mostly involved dodging armpits in the local train and studying on rooftops.

Sales.

My first job was in sales in a pharmaceutical company. It taught me that hard work and intuition operate on a delicate balance. It also taught me some German.
